The project to expand tree planting and enhance the green space of student dormitories at the central campus of Lorestan University commenced with the presence of the university's Vice President for Student Affairs and the Head of Green Management.
According to the Public Relations Department of Lorestan University, on Tuesday, June 6th, with the presence of Dr. Mehdi Shahin, Vice President for Student Affairs of Lorestan University, Dr. Mehdi Soleimani-Motlagh, Head of the Green Management Department of Lorestan University, Dr. Ali Zarei, Director of Student Affairs of Lorestan University, and Masouri, Head of the Student Dormitories Department of the university, the project to expand tree planting and green space of student dormitories at the central campus of Lorestan University began with the planting of various saplings.
This project will be a citrus orchard, and various trees such as bitter orange, orange, tangerine, grapefruit, etc. will be planted in it.
In this regard, Dr. Mehdi Shahin, Vice President for Student Affairs of Lorestan University, told our reporter: "The goal is to strengthen the atmosphere of vitality and promote the culture of environmental protection among students."
Dr. Shahin explained: "Students who reside in student dormitories live in the dormitories during the academic semester, and the student dormitory and its surrounding environment should be a vibrant and joyful space for students."
He stated: "Fortunately, with the cooperation of the Green Management Department of Lorestan University and the university's green space personnel, we have started the program to expand tree planting and green space specifically for student dormitories."
Dr. Mehdi Shahin added: "The envisioned outlook is that the living environment of students in the student dormitories of Lorestan University should be, in every respect, a vibrant environment that reflects the message of hope for the future."
It is worth mentioning that a few days ago, with the presence of Dr. Ali Nazari, President of Lorestan University, and Dr. Saeed Mohammadzadeh, Vice President for Support of Lorestan University, the project to build a citrus orchard in the area around the central administrative building of Lorestan University began.
