A meeting on expanding trilateral cooperation between Lorestan University, focusing on natural resources and the environment, was held.

The meeting of the Green Management Steering Council of Lorestan University was held with the presence of some managers and experts from the General Directorate of Natural Resources and Watershed Management of Lorestan Province and the General Directorate of Environmental Protection of Lorestan, with the subject of expanding cooperation and trilateral memoranda of understanding.
According to the Public Relations of Lorestan University, this meeting was held on Sunday, October 15th of the current year, chaired by Dr. Ali Nazari, President of Lorestan University, in the meeting room of the President's Office of Lorestan University.
In this meeting, Dr. Ali Nazari, President of Lorestan University, and Dr. Mehdi Soleimani Motlagh, Secretary of the Green Management Steering Council of Lorestan University, emphasized the expansion of bilateral cooperation with the General Directorate of Natural Resources and Watershed Management of Lorestan Province.
Watershed management operations at Lorestan University, the greenhouse memorandum of understanding and its equipment, the seedling planting memorandum of understanding proposed by the Natural Resources Department of Khorramabad County, and facilitating the sale of seedlings were among the topics and agendas of this inter-sectoral joint meeting.
Dr. Mehdi Soleimani Motlagh, the head of the Green Management department of Lorestan University, and Engineer Majid Shakerami, the Director of Construction Affairs of Lorestan University, explained some of the most important measures taken by Lorestan University in the field of green management in this meeting.
The President of Lorestan University (Dr. Nazari) requested that practical and problem-oriented memoranda of understanding between Lorestan University, the General Directorate of Natural Resources of Lorestan Province, and the General Directorate of Environmental Protection of Lorestan Province be expanded.
The President of Lorestan University emphasized in this meeting that protecting natural resources and the environment and improving green management indicators are among the important missions that should be pursued more than ever.
In this meeting, Dr. Saeed Mohammadzadeh, Vice President for Support of Lorestan University, Dr. Mostafa Karampour, Vice President for Research and Technology of this university, and Dr. Ali Mir, Vice President for Education and Graduate Studies of Lorestan University, emphasized support for the improvement of green management indicators of Lorestan University through inter-sectoral cooperation.
In line with the subject of expanding trilateral cooperation, Dr. Ali Doosti Zadeh, the head of the Department of Community Relations and Entrepreneurship of Lorestan University, also expressed his views in the direction of expanding practical cooperation.
Due to the occurrence of the 2019 flood and the damage caused to the Faculty of Agriculture of Lorestan University, the issue of watershed management at Lorestan University was also among the important topics of this meeting, which was discussed.
In this regard, Dr. Ali Haghighizadeh, the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture of Lorestan University, presented his specialized report on the importance of supporting watershed management.
Also, supporting practical and problem-oriented theses in the field of natural resources, watershed management, and the environment was another topic of this meeting that was agreed upon trilaterally.
Planting seedlings and expanding the university's green space and cultivating medicinal plants and fruit trees were other topics discussed in this meeting.
