The Secretary of the Steering Council for Green Management at Lorestan University announced: the planting of 700 saplings and olive and grape trees, and 1500 poplar trees on the occasion of Natural Resources Week.

The Secretary of the Green Management Steering Council of Lorestan University announced at the tree planting ceremony on the occasion of Arbor Day: "During Natural Resources Week, 700 saplings and olive and grape trees, and 1,500 poplar trees will be planted at the central site of Lorestan University."
According to the Public Relations of Lorestan University, Dr. Mehdi Soleimani-Motlagh, in this ceremony, which was held on Tuesday, March 5th of the current year, on the occasion of Arbor Day and the beginning of Natural Resources Week at the central site of Lorestan University, explained: "Today, about 700 saplings were planted at the central site of Lorestan University; a few weeks ago, coinciding with the days of the Fajr Decade, the Martyrs of the Islamic Revolution Park was also created with the planting of 90 saplings at Lorestan University."
Dr. Soleimani-Motlagh stated: "On the occasion of commemorating Natural Resources Week, 1,500 poplar saplings will be planted at the poplar site of Lorestan University, which is located below the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of this university."
He continued: "30,000 fruitful saplings have also been produced, which can help the farmers of Lorestan province, and the park of native species of Lorestan University will also be completed."
The Secretary of the Green Management Steering Council of Lorestan University stated: "The saplings and trees that were planted today, March 5th, 2024, on the occasion of Arbor Day and Natural Resources Week at the central site of Lorestan University, are of olive and grape species."
Dr. Soleimani-Motlagh clarified: "The planted species are of the types resistant to drought and cold."
He added: "We hope that we, the university community, by planting saplings and trees, will take more effective steps in the path of strengthening the culture of protecting the environment and natural resources."
The Secretary of the Green Management Steering Council of Lorestan University emphasized: "In fact, by planting saplings and trees, we announce our support for the sustainability of natural resources and the environment."
