Cultivation of medicinal plants at Lorestan University's central site for land potential assessment.

The cultivation of medicinal plants, with the aim of land potential assessment and the adaptation of these types of cultivation, was implemented in a part of the area surrounding the central administrative building of Lorestan University.
According to the Public Relations of Lorestan University, Dr. Mehdi Soleimani-Motlagh, Secretary of the Strategic Council for Green Management of Lorestan University, said in an interview with our reporter: "Attention to the cultivation of medicinal plants is among the issues related to the capacities and potentials of agriculture in Lorestan province and has been cultivated in an area of about two thousand square meters around the central building of Lorestan University."
Dr. Soleimani-Motlagh stated: "Considering that Lorestan University has a Faculty of Agriculture and Natural Resources, the expansion of medicinal plant cultivation with scientific approaches and methods is among the work priorities of the Strategic Council for Green Management of Lorestan University."
He added: "Some species of medicinal plants such as thyme, sage, shallot, Khuzestan savory, and lemon verbena are among the cultivation priorities."
Dr. Soleimani-Motlagh announced: "We are seeking to develop the cultivation of medicinal plants within the framework of student projects and research opportunities."
The Secretary of the Strategic Council for Green Management of Lorestan University stated: "Improving green management indicators, including the expansion of green space and afforestation, is among the important goals in this regard."
