Commemoration of Sapling Planting Ceremony in Lorestan University's Native Species Park on the Occasion of Natural Resources Week

On the occasion of Arbor Day and Natural Resources Week, a seedling planting ceremony was held in the native species park of Lorestan University's central site, and part of the waste from this site was cleaned up with the participation of a group of students.
According to the Public Relations of Lorestan University, the ceremony began on Saturday, March 4th, with a presence at the tomb of three unknown martyrs of Lorestan University and paying respect to the exalted position of the proud martyrs of Islamic Iran.
Participants in this program cleaned parts of the central site of Lorestan University from the presence of waste.
Then, with the presence of Dr. Ali Nazari, President of Lorestan University, Dr. Saeed Mohammadzadeh, Head of the Vice-Presidency for Support and Development of Lorestan University, Dr. Mohammad Hayati, Vice-President for Cultural and Social Affairs of Lorestan University, Dr. Ali Haghighizadeh, Head of the Faculty of Agriculture of Lorestan University, Yousef Abbasi, Director of Security of Lorestan University, Dr. Mehdi Soleimani-Motlagh, Head of Green Management of Lorestan University, and a group of faculty members, scientific assistants, and students of this university, a number of seedlings were planted in the native species park of the central site of Lorestan University in commemoration of Arbor Day and Natural Resources Week.
Every year, March 5th is Arbor Day and the beginning of Natural Resources Week.
In this regard, we interviewed Dr. Mehdi Soleimani-Motlagh, Head of Green Management of Lorestan University.
Dr. Soleimani-Motlagh said: "The native species park of Lorestan University is made up of woody and herbaceous species."
He explained: "Trees such as oak, pistachio, hawthorn, hackberry, redbud, almond, and species that exist in Lorestan province are cultivated in the native species park of Lorestan University."
The Head of Green Management of Lorestan University added: "We are trying to make the native species park of Lorestan University a suitable platform for education, research, and investigation."
Dr. Mehdi Soleimani-Motlagh explained: "The native species park of Lorestan province in the first phase includes a land of one hectare and about 500 seedlings of native species of Lorestan province are planted in this park."
Dr. Soleimani-Motlagh stated: "Based on the set goals and vision, the native species park of Lorestan University will be expanded in the next phases."
He added: "The native species park of Lorestan province includes native non-fruit-bearing seedlings and trees that consume a small amount of water."
The Head of Green Management of Lorestan University stated: "The creation of this park is in line with strengthening environmental issues and protecting natural resources."
It is worth mentioning that this ceremony was held in cooperation with the Environmental Student Scientific Association of Lorestan University, the Environmental Cultural Center of Lorestan University, and the Green Management of Lorestan University.
Student scientific associations and student cultural centers operate under the supervision of the Vice-Presidency for Cultural and Social Affairs of Lorestan University.
