Insulation of the engine rooms in the student residences and high schools of Lorestan University has been carried out to prevent energy waste.

In line with preventing energy waste and improving green management indicators, the insulation of the engine rooms of student dormitories and the girls' and boys' high schools of Lorestan University was carried out by the university's Construction Affairs Unit.

According to the Public Relations Department of Lorestan University, the report submitted by the Construction Affairs Department of Lorestan University, which operates under the supervision of the Vice-Chancellor for Support and Development of this university, regarding the insulation of engine rooms, is as follows:

Today, the use of cooling and heating systems in residential and industrial environments is widespread.

The common point between all these facilities is to prevent energy waste and prevent the movement and transfer of heat and cold to the outside environment.

Simultaneously with the change in energy prices, with the implementation of the economic reform plan and the targeting of subsidies, the cost of operating the facilities and the price of energy consumed by the building increased significantly.

The main goal of insulating facilities is to prevent energy waste and reduce the costs necessary to supply fuel and energy needed for the consumer.

If the insulation of the facilities is implemented correctly, between 25 to 35 percent of the consumption costs, in order to supply energy in an industry or building, will be significantly reduced.

Explanation of the operations:

To achieve the executive goals of green management in universities and optimize energy consumption in the engine rooms of Lorestan University's facilities, considering the continuous follow-up of the Construction Affairs Department of Lorestan University, which operates under the supervision of the Vice-Chancellor for Support and Development of this university, with the cooperation and assistance of the Gas Company of Lorestan Province, so far, the insulation of 5 engine rooms in the buildings of Fatemieh student dormitory, Vali Asr (AS) student dormitory No. 3, Shahid Soleimani student dormitory, and the girls' and boys' high schools of Lorestan University has been implemented.

Based on the agreement between Lorestan University and the Gas Company of Lorestan Province, the insulation of the engine room of the central site facilities and the Faculty of Agriculture and Natural Resources of this university will also be implemented in the near future, free of charge.

This action is an important step in reducing the consumption of energy and fossil fuels.
